Q: Is LPG Wales UK LPG approved?

A: Not yet but we are working towards the certification - follow our News Bulletin or sign up for our Newsletter and you'll be the first to know when we receive the UK LPG Certification.

Q: If you are not UK LPG Certified how does that affect your quality?

A: Not at all - as we are working towards the Certificate all our work has to be done accordingly to Code Of Practice 11. Our installations can be inspected at any times to ensure we comply with all the regulations.

Q: Can I get UK LPG Certificate for your LPG Conversion?

A: Yes, as all our LPG Conversions are carried out accordingly to regulations you can obtain UK LPG Certificate for any of our LPG Conversions - please contact us for details.

Q: What Certificate do I get from LPG Wales?

A: You will receive LPG Conversion Certificate that is required and accepted by DVLA and Insurance Companies. This Certificate is an essential part of any legal LPG Conversion - without it DVLA will not amend the V5 nor any of the Insurance Companies in UK will insure your car without it.

Q: Do you remove inlet manifold to install LPG Conversion?

A: On most of the vehicles yes but more modern cars are equipped with ABS plastic inlet manifolds which do not need to be removed - if you are in doubt please contact us and we will explain it to you.

Q: What difference will LPG Conversion make to the performance of my car?

A: Well, it depends what LPG System you will opt for. There are systems that guarantee no loss of performance at all but generally speaking you can expect between 5 and 10% - it all depends on the system installed, condition of the vehicle - please contact us and we can discuss your options.

Q: What warranty will I get?

A: Every LPG Conversion from LPG Wales comes with LIFETIME warranty on installation and 3 or 2 years on parts used for conversion - AC Stag offers 3 years warranty and Romano offers 2 years warranty.

Q: Do you work on the weekends?

A: If it is more convenient for you to collect your car or drop it off on the weekend please contact us and we will arrange it.

Q: Can I drive on LPG and on petrol at the same time?

A: No. If the system has been installed professionally you will have the option of either driving on LPG or petrol. The newest Direct Injection Systems inject small dose of petrol at the rate of 3 to 5% in order to cool down the injectors. Those systems when on idle (0-1000 RPM) run only on petrol, between 1000 and 4000 RPM they run on 95-97% of LPG and than above 4000 RPM run again only on petrol.

Q: How safe is it to leave my car at your workshop?

A: Our workshop is very secure - we have 24hrs CCTV, security guard who patrols the entire estate, there's no unauthorised access out of business hours and on top of that we have compulsory Trade Insurance that covers any vehicles left at the workshop. You can see the copy of our Certificate in the office.
